Joseph Vitus Chibuike is a dynamic and dedicated professional with a proven track record in leadership, community engagement, and advocacy for gender equality. His extensive experience in various capacities uniquely positions him as an invaluable asset to the Rosana Empowerment Foundation (REF) as a Board of Trustees member.

Joseph’s educational journey reflects his commitment to excellence and continuous learning. He attended the Evangel Group of Schools in Gombe from 2009 to 2013, where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC). He continued his education at Evangel College, Gombe, from 2013 to 2019, earning the West African School Certificate (WASC). In 2020, he further enhanced his skills through the National Computer Literacy Programme, obtaining a certificate in computer literacy. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Law at Gombe State University.

Throughout his academic and professional career, Joseph has demonstrated exceptional leadership. As the State Coordinator for the Education Assistance and Charity Organization (EACO), he led initiatives in promoting grassroots and equality education. He also served as Project Coordinator for the Rosana Empowerment Foundation (REF), organizing events that addressed challenges faced by women in higher education.

His passion for community service is evident through his active involvement in various initiatives. As a volunteer with REF, he contributed to community development projects focusing on women’s health and education. In his role as Community Outreach Coordinator for the REF Women’s Empowerment Initiative, he planned and executed programs addressing socio-economic challenges faced by women. Additionally, he worked on youth-led programmes funded by the African Development Bank (AfdB) in Gombe State through the Inclusive Basic Services Delivery and Livelihood Empowerment Integrated Programme (IBSDLEIP) and participated in the Youth Empowerment and Social Support Operation (YESSO) by the Gombe State government.

Joseph has played a crucial role in the development and implementation of impactful programs. He co-founded the REF ‘I Am A Girl Initiative,’ launching a programme that provided mentorship and skills training to young women in Birshi Gandu Community, Bauchi State. As Project Coordinator at REF, he developed and implemented workshops addressing gender-based violence and reproductive health.

His advocacy efforts have been instrumental in driving policy changes and promoting women’s and youth’s rights. As a Co-Advocate with the REF Women’s and Youth Rights Forum, he engaged in lobbying for policy changes to address gender disparities in education and employment. During his tenure as a Policy Intern at PalmGate Global Ventures Inc., he contributed to the development of policies promoting youth’s rights and empowerment.

Joseph’s organizational skills have been showcased through his successful coordination of various events. He organized the International Day of the Girl Child Celebration, coordinating a successful event featuring panel discussions, workshops, and community outreach. He also managed logistics and programming for the REF Women’s and Youth’s Leadership Summit as Conference Coordinator.

His dedication to education and mentorship is reflected in his role as Assistant Labour Prefect at Evangel College, where he delivered speeches on gender studies, fostering discussions on women’s and youth’s roles in society.

Joseph excels in building networks and fostering collaboration. He led a collaborative effort between NGOs, government bodies, and local businesses to address a specific gender-related challenge as Collaborative Project Manager for REF and EACO. He also facilitated networking opportunities for women and youth professionals in PalmGate Global Ventures Inc. as Networking Coordinator for the PalmGate Gender Advocacy Initiative.

In his personal time, Joseph enjoys research, singing, and reading, activities that enrich his knowledge and contribute to his holistic development.
